A sample of the work
Case Highlight
As part of the Technology Integration Team within DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Office, Sam led a collaborative effort to strengthen and grow the Clean Cities and Communities network. That meant working with existing coalitions to expand their reach, facilitating the development of new ones, helping organizations adopt stronger governance practices, and supporting more strategic approaches to high-impact programs and activities. The result: 10 new coalitions across nine states, several existing coalitions significantly expanded, and demonstrably greater effectiveness and impact across the network as a whole.
“We brought Sam to the U.S. Department of Energy because our country needed his proven experience and ideas to strengthen and grow Clean Cities into the force needed to deliver benefits of clean transportation in all communities. Sam provided exactly the leadership the network needed. Today, Clean Cities is larger and coalitions are more effective because of his work. He will make a difference for any motivated organization.”
